Each month we feature one of our valued partners here at TRELORA. It’s a chance for us to share with you the incredible talent we’ve curated here at the office. Also, we’re taking notes for future pranks and embarrassing speeches at office parties. Mostly it’s about the talent sharing thing, though.
What does it mean to be a part of TRELORA?
There is both an expectation, and an opportunity, to go above and beyond. The collective knowledge and drive the team has is incredible. Going above and beyond directly correlates to helping our clients, which is everything our company strives for. Status quo is boring, and TRELORA is anything but.
What do you like about working at TRELORA?
The environment and unique approach of TRELORA are two initial aspects that jump out. The uniqueness of a real estate company offering commission free service is the initial reason I applied to work here. The uniqueness of this business model is what feeds the environment, so the two aspects are interconnected. Coming into the office on a busy day when everyone from the team is here… it’s an electric atmosphere that is so much fun to experience.
How do you try to leave people better?
For me, there is no task too big or too small to handle. I understand that big items come up, but the small details and basic aspects of real estate are important to our clients. It is empowering to be able to fully answer questions, and to have an impact on the overall experience associated with TRELORA. I want clients to know they can discuss any question, concern or problem with me, and we’ll find a solution.
Name 3 of your Core Values.
1) Be a conscientious person.
2) Have a high level of integrity.
3) Always grow as an individual.
Tell us about your best TRELORA experience.
I don’t know if this is my best experience, but it is certainly a unique one. The first official day I started working for TRELORA, we were moving our office. Since it was my first day, I still had not put all the faces to names, and I really didn’t understand the different roles of each person. This put me in a unique position, because I was working next to the CEO, CIO and upper management (not knowing that at the time) all accomplishing the same tasks. Ultimately, what I am trying to say about this experience is that in my mind on that day, there was not a stringent hierarchy to this business. I was able to get know each member of TRELORA on an individual level as we worked alongside each other.
Tell us about a work-related challenge you have overcome.
One work related challenge TRELORA has helped me improve on is the ability to multitask. Every day I work there a number of different tasks that I juggle, making the work day fast paced and fun. Every day is different. If you weren’t revolutionizing the real estate industry, what would you be doing? I like to think I would be scuba diving somewhere. I love the water! More realistically, since Colorado is a landlocked state, I would probably take a couple more classes to speed up the process of earning my degree in Finance.
Read any good books lately?
I just started reading The Adventures of an IT Leader by Robert T. Austin. The book is about a man who has no technology background and is placed in the position of Chief Information Officer (CIO) of a company. This story breaks down the struggles of a CIO for someone like me, who knows very little about that side of a business.
Pets? Family? Hobbies?
Going back to my love of the water, I have a large saltwater reef tank. I don’t know if you can count fish as a pet, but it’s a great hobby! I enjoy working out, skiing, cars, scuba diving, golf and eating. (Does that last one count as a hobby?) I recently had some outstanding Indian cuisine near downtown Littleton.
