Listing Administrator: Zach Whittaker

Listing Administrator Zach Whittaker keeps things running smoothly for Team TRELORA, home sellers and potential buyers. He handles everything from, “Oops - Fido is in the living room and a showing is scheduled in 5 minutes,” to “Hey - did you email the new disclosures to those buyers?” Like any smooth operator, he anticipates challenges and keeps tabs on a plethora of moving pieces and parties to the transaction.

What does it mean to you to be part of TRELORA?

We are on the forefront of revolutionizing an industry. It’s something that is extremely exciting, and I’m proud to be a part of. We’re making history here.

What do you like about working at TRELORA?

At the core of the work we do at TRELORA, I am involved in helping the public. We’re giving the power (and the money!) back to the people. I’ve worked in the emergency medicine field and served in the military. The overall connection of everything I’ve ever done is that it has always been based in helping and serving others. TRELORA is allowing me to continue that tradition.

How do you try to leave people better?

My goal is to surpass our clients’ expectations of what they think the company will do for them. I want to leave them wowed by the experience they’ve had, and the organization I represent.

Name 3 of your core values.

  • Honor
  • Respect
  • Devotion to Duty (thanks Coast Guard)

Tell us about your best TRELORA experience. (or another positive work experience)

So far at TRELORA, every day has brought a new level of positivity. As I continue to learn my roll and how I fit into our overall mission, I gain better awareness of the amazing things we accomplish every day. A past summer gig as an ATV guide in Alaska - that was a pretty great experience, too!

Tell us about a work-related challenge you have overcome.

From the military to my current position, I’ve faced a variety of challenges. I could write a whole novel just about basic training! “Basic training” at TRELORA means learning the ins and outs of my position, and how it relates to the big picture. I’ve learned so much since the overwhelming first day. Our work offers up ever-changing process, but I feel confident and poised to succeed!

If you weren't revolutionizing the real estate industry, what would you be doing?

Hiking, skiing, biking, fishing, traveling (your typical Colorado outdoor enthusiast stuff). Oh, and concerts. #alltheconcerts. Oh shoot...was this supposed to be about jobs? In that case, I think I’d be a park ranger!

Read any good books lately?

My family is from Bangor, Maine. If you know anything about our little city, you’ll know I’m automatically a die-hard Stephen King fan.

Pets? Family?

My girlfriend and I have two dogs and a rabbit (shout out to Luna, Nila and Bunz). We’re all about the outdoors, so Colorado is an ideal place to call home.

Next time you save $12k (or more) on your personal real estate transaction, how will you spend your dough?

I would like to think I would responsibly invest it in my Roth IRA and pat myself on the back for my maturity. We’ll see about that!

Listing Transaction Coordinator: Adam Avery

Adam Round.jpg

Adam Avery is a Listing Transaction Coordinator at TRELORA. From the mundane moments to the magnificent final chapter of your deal, preparing, listing and selling a property is all about the details. Adam ensures no stone is left unturned and helps keep every party to the transaction (and all the paperwork!) in order so the sale of your property goes off without a hitch. Like his colleagues, Adam’s goal is to maximize your return on the investment you’ve made.

What does it mean to you to be part of TRELORA?

Working at TRELORA means being part of a team of the most knowledgeable agents in the industry, and being encouraged to educate our clients about many things old-school real estate agents love to conceal. That kind of honesty is a threat to the industry - and incredibly refreshing for our clients.

What do you like about working at TRELORA?

TRELORA has a culture of honesty and transparency, both internally and with our clients and the greater public. We’re keeping it real in an industry that employs plenty of smoke and mirrors.

How do you try to leave people better?

Leaving people better goes much further than saving them money. I like to leave people with a better understanding of the real estate process and how the industry works. You hear it all that time: a home is the the biggest purchase most people ever make; for that reason I believe it is paramount that people understand more about the inner workings of the real estate industry. Real estate isn’t rocket science, and no one should leave the closing table in a state of confusion.

Name 3 of your core values.

  • Integrity
  • Excellence
  • Dedication

Tell us about your best TRELORA experience

Being part of this team has been fantastic. The level of professionalism and knowledge within this organization is second to none and I've enjoyed every minute I've been here. There is never a dull moment!

If you weren't revolutionizing the real estate industry, what would you be doing?

I'd be riding my mountain bike. In the mountains. Anywhere in the world. Every day!

Read any good books lately?

Being Mortal by Atul Gawande is a meaningful read; the book highlights issues that are relevant in my life right now.

What do you do for fun?

I'm an avid swimmer and water polo player. And did I mention I love to ride my mountain bike?

Next time you save $12k (or more) on your personal real estate transaction, how will you spend your dough?

I'd roll the funds into another property via 1031 real estate exchange, letting the TRELORA Buy Team help me find another property within 45 days...all while saving even more $$!

We like the way you think, Adam!

    Showing Agent - Michelle Workman

Michelle Workman is a Showing Agent at TRELORA. She has the pleasure of introducing people like you to their ideal next home. Her job is to listen, take notes, then use her real estate savvy to help clients narrow down a list of potential candidates. Like tv’s “The Bachelor,” but with way less drama. No losers, just really great potential properties that might be your dream (home) come true. If you eat-sleep-breathe houses the way we do, that probably sounds pretty romantic. *sigh* #realestatelovestory

I try to have positive encounters with everyone and be an active listener. I want people to know I really care about them and feel like they can approach me any time.

Name 3 of your core values.

    1. Respect Others at all times

    2. Practice Empathy with everyone I meet

    3. Approach Life with Gratitude

Tell us about your best TRELORA experience.

It has been incredible to watch TRELORA’s evolution into a leading real estate company across Metro Denver unfold, while rising above and overcoming the negativity that is sometimes experienced from the real estate industry. (Side note: We’re pretty sure that much noise means we’re doing something right!)

Tell us about a work-related challenge you have overcome.

Learning to be more flexible with my work/life schedule. As a showing agent I am on call so our buyers have the ability to see homes on their schedule, not mine. That has required me to learn to “let things go” and have more flexibility in my life. I must admit I am a much more laid back person now.

If you weren't revolutionizing the real estate industry, what would you be doing?

Revolutionizing tutoring experiences for children; I’m passionate about all kids thriving at the learning process.

We have a cute black, white and brown cocker spaniel, Ollie. My incredible husband, best friend and partner in life, Dave, also spends his days here at TRELORA. Our three young adult children all live in Denver! When I’m not on the road showing homes to our clients I try to play as much tennis as possible, and have played league tennis for quite awhile. I love to take Ollie for walks around Sloan’s Lake and The Highlands, and we love to bike, ski and hike together as a couple or as a family. #coloradoliving

Next time you save $12k (or more) on your personal real estate transaction, how will you spend your dough?

Tell us about your best TRELORA experience.

My best TRELORA experience was my first day joining the team. I received the warmest welcome by my colleagues and everyone offered their help. I felt at home immediately.

Tell us about a work-related challenge you have overcome.

Being a woman working in a male-dominated industry when I was remodeling houses was the biggest work-related challenge I have faced. Men underestimated the fact that I could jump in and fix plumbing issues and wasn't afraid to do the demolition work.

If you weren't revolutionizing the real estate industry, what would you be doing?

I would be working on branding, marketing and PR for passionate people pursuing their dreams whether that is as a music artist or building a pocket square company.

    Read any good books lately?

I recently started going through Sundar Pichai's book list. The first was Pressed for Time by Judy Wajcman.

    Pets? Family? Hobbies?

I have a dog - his name is Panda. My favorite hobby is playing frisbee in the park with my boyfriend Will and Panda.

Next time you save $12k (or more) on your personal real estate transaction, how will you spend your dough?

I would either put it into savings or spend it remodeling my new home. I love interior design.

    3) Fun

Tell us about your best TRELORA experience.

My best TRELORA experience so far was when I found out we've saved customers almost $20,000,000 in commission fees to date. That's a whole lotta money!

Tell us about a work-related challenge you have overcome.

As a service professional, I have come across my fair share of frustrated or even angry customers; often miscommunication or a lack of understanding is at the heart of the issue. I have learned to diffuse client frustration by seeking first to understand, then to offer information and education. Clients need a listening ear - not judgment.

If you weren't revolutionizing the real estate industry, what would you be doing?

At present I can't imagine being anywhere else!

    Read any good books lately?

7 Habits of Highly Effective People. I would highly suggest this book to anyone who wants to be more effective in work and in life.

Next time you save $12k (or more) on your personal real estate transaction, how will you spend your dough?

I will buy a shiny new Jeep Wrangler

If you're thinking of making a bold career move, learn more about joining our team of change-architects. We're innovating the real estate industry one transaction at a time - and we're looking for a few good movers & shakers.

    Listing Administrator: Jason Szabatura

Jason Szabatura is a Listing Administrator at TRELORA. The team calls on him to prepare your listing docs and create the MLS profile buyers rely on to make informed showing (and eventually purchase) decisions. Once you are ready to list, Jason provides a lightning-speed turnaround to ensure your property is on the market quickly and accurately. When you drop us a line via email or dial us up, Jason is standing by to answer questions and keep your transaction moving forward successfully.

Name 3 of your core values.

    Honesty

    Passion

    Love

Tell us about your best TRELORA experience.

Whenever the team is able to make a client's transaction easier/smoother, it makes us feel like we are making a difference in this market.

Tell us about a work-related challenge you have overcome.

I didn't have a background in real estate before joining TRELORA. The first couple of weeks were eye opening! With help from my colleagues, I have been able to overcome initial challenges and keep learning this exciting industry.

If you weren't revolutionizing the real estate industry, what would you be doing?

I have always wanted to be a teacher and a coach at a high school.  Being a history buff I would probably teach history (love the WW2 era) and either coach basketball or football.

Read any good books or heard any rad tunes lately?

I read the book House of Cards - I thought it was better than the tv show.  Also, I love all music, but especially country music. The new Eric Church CD is amazing!

    Pets? Family? Hobbies?

My supportive & beautiful mother Sheri lives in Littleton and my brother Bryan is in Denver; my sister Stacy lives in Seattle. I love going to sporting events (Rockies, Broncos, Avalanche, Nuggets - I love 'em all!), going to country concerts at Red Rocks, camping, fishing and biking.

Next time you save $12k (or more) on your personal real estate transaction, how will you spend your dough?

I would take my family + friends on a beach vacation. Sun, sand and the libations would be flowing!

    Home Advisor Agent: Mike Page

Mike Page is a Home Advisor Agent at TRELORA, helping individuals and families prepare for success in the competitive Denver marketplace. From a thorough home evaluation to explaining the TRELORA business model to proposing the list price based on a comparable market analysis, his work with homeowners provides the foundation for a successful sale

Mike advocates for your home equity. He will strategically price for your home to  prepare you for the competitive housing market, and explain how working with TRELORA's first rate service for one flat fee already gives you a leg up.

What does it mean to you to be part of TRELORA?

The real estate industry has had a Do-Not-Disturb sign out for decades and consumers are paying a high price for it. It's exciting to be part of a company revolutionizing an entire industry. Did you hear that, real estate industry? That's the sound of us crushing your sky high commission rates with flat rate full service!

What do you like about working at TRELORA?

I feel like I joined TRELORA at the perfect time. The company is small/young enough to have a vibrant entrepreneurial spirit & culture, but old/wise enough to have a proven business model that works. This is an exciting time to be part of the team.

How do you try to leave people better?

I offer ideas/advice/recommendations that are easy to incorporate into their every day lives and are sustainable over time.

Name 3 of your core values.

    Efficiency

Tell us about your best TRELORA experience.

I got a round of applause at a recent team meeting. I was the only person in the room to answer the 'When is TRELORA expanding to another city?'question correctly.

Tell us about a work-related challenge you have overcome.

Earning my Real Estate Sales Associate Licens in Florida while working full-time was tough, and now I am doing it all over again here in Colorado.

If you weren't revolutionizing the real estate industry, what would you be doing?

LIVING IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER! Honestly, I'd probably be doing sales for a start-up in town making 50+ cold calls a day and hating my job.

     Read any good books lately?

The two best books I've read lately are How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big by Scott Adams and The Slight Edge by Jeff Olson.

    Pets? Family? Hobbies?

No pets; I'm too much of a neat freak for them. All of my family including my older brother, younger brother and parents live in Florida. My hobbies include working out, running, hiking, skiing, watching sports and reading.

Next time you save $12k (or more) on your personal real estate transaction, how will you spend your dough?

I'll finish paying off my student loans and use the remainder to throw a party for the occasion.

    Treat people with respect

    Have fun

Tell us about your best TRELORA experience.

My first time explaining to a client how much money they were going to save with TRELORA was a blast. Choosing who to work with in real estate is a big financial decision; the amount of money we help individuals and families save is just plain cool.

Tell us about a work related challenge you have overcome.

In the short time I’ve been part of this team, I’ve been able to overcome what people think TRELORA is by educating them on the facts.

If you weren't revolutionizing the real estate industry, what would you be doing?

Traveling the world by plane, train or automobile.

Next time you save $12k (or more) on your personal real estate transaction, how will you spend your dough?

I'd invest it somewhere smart for the long term.
