Transaction Coordinator Zach Whittaker keeps things running smoothly for Team TRELORA, home sellers and potential buyers. He handles everything from, “Oops - Fido is in the living room and a showing is scheduled in 5 minutes,” to “Hey - did you email the new disclosures to those buyers?” Like any smooth operator, he anticipates challenges and keeps tabs on a plethora of moving pieces and parties to the transaction.
Q & A with Zach Whittaker
What does it mean to you to be part of TRELORA?
We are on the forefront of revolutionizing an industry. It’s something that is extremely exciting, and I’m proud to be a part of. We’re making history here.
What do you like about working at TRELORA?
At the core of the work we do at TRELORA, I am involved in helping the public. We’re giving the power (and the money!) back to the people. I’ve worked in the emergency medicine field and served in the military. The overall connection of everything I’ve ever done is that it has always been based in helping and serving others. TRELORA is allowing me to continue that tradition.
How do you try to leave people better?
My goal is to surpass our clients’ expectations of what they think the company will do for them. I want to leave them wowed by the experience they’ve had, and the organization I represent.
Name 3 of your core values.
Devotion to Duty (thanks Coast Guard)
Tell us about your best TRELORA experience. (or another positive work experience)
So far at TRELORA, every day has brought a new level of positivity. As I continue to learn my roll and how I fit into our overall mission, I gain better awareness of the amazing things we accomplish every day. A past summer gig as an ATV guide in Alaska - that was a pretty great experience, too!
Tell us about a work-related challenge you have overcome.
From the military to my current position, I’ve faced a variety of challenges. I could write a whole novel just about basic training! “Basic training” at TRELORA means learning the ins and outs of my position, and how it relates to the big picture. I’ve learned so much since the overwhelming first day. Our work offers up ever-changing process, but I feel confident and poised to succeed!
If you weren't revolutionizing the real estate industry, what would you be doing?
Hiking, skiing, biking, fishing, traveling (your typical Colorado outdoor enthusiast stuff). Oh, and concerts. #alltheconcerts. Oh shoot...was this supposed to be about jobs? In that case, I think I’d be a park ranger!
Read any good books lately?
My family is from Bangor, Maine. If you know anything about our little city, you’ll know I’m automatically a die-hard Stephen King fan.
My girlfriend and I have two dogs and a rabbit (shout out to Luna, Nila and Bunz). We’re all about the outdoors, so Colorado is an ideal place to call home.
Next time you save $12k (or more) on your personal real estate transaction, how will you spend your dough?
I would like to think I would responsibly invest it in my Roth IRA and pat myself on the back for my maturity. We’ll see about that!
